
INDYCAR SERIES DRIVERS TAKE FLIGHT IN BLUE ANGELS’ C-130 “FAT ALBERT”
WHAT: Five drivers from the IndyCar Series will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride in the Blue Angels’ C-130 Hercules nicknamed Fat Albert. They will also get once-in-a-lifetime birds eye view of the entire 3.4 mile road course prior to the Camping World Grand Prix on Sunday, July 5. The ride will include a trip to Binghamton airport, the experience of being in the plane during a practice run of its air show demonstration, a flyover of Watkins Glen International, and the return to the Elmira Corning Regional Airport.
WHY: Fat Albert is scheduled to do the flyover for the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen on Sunday, July 5 and will also be performing at the nearby Binghamton Air Show on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5.
Watkins Glen International and the Elmira Corning Regional Airport have a great regional partnership that includes cross-promoting this race weekend, the airport, and other events held at the historic track.
