 Not a rumor....but something that may be interesting for IndyCar as VERSUS steps up its NASCARcontent....Last year VERSUS stepped into the NASCAR broadcasting circle with a series that focused on the"Chase" contenders. This year, the IndyCar series partner is taking it a step further with now covering the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series,beginning in August. Also, they will be airing a series on the next generation of NASCAR's up and coming drivers.
On another front, Penske's Sam Hornish isn't so certain about his Sprint Cup future as his Mobil 1 sponsorship is done at the end of the season, and NNS Penske driver Justin Allgaier is rumored to possibly have a tryout in a Cup car for the team by the end of the year. |
