Danica Patrick finished sixth in the points standings for 2008 with then Andretti Green Racing, accumulating one win at Motegi, Japan, three top-5’s and ten top-10’s along the way. Patrick’s victory was her first in the series, and the first ever by a woman in IndyCar. For 2009, Patrick again competes for AGR.

She lists  her other most memorable achievement as leading the Indianapolis 500 in 2005…enjoys running, weight training and extreme yoga…likes to shop…favorite singer is Alanis Morissette…avid fan and watcher of Live with Regis and Kelly. The driver also gained fame by appearing in the Sports illustrated Swimsuit issue of 2008, and graced the pages of the magazine for a second year in 2009

Pre-2008, the driver’s career had other milestones- As a rookie in 2005, became the first woman in the 89-year history of the Indianapolis 500 to lead laps at the historic event and finished fourth, earning Rookie of the Year honors.She was named USA Today and U.S. Sports Academy’s Female Athlete of the Year (2005), and honored as March of Dimes Sportswoman of the Year (2006. She garnered  the IndyCar Series Bombardier Rookie of the Year award in 2005 with a 12th-place finish in the driver championship.

Pre-IndyCar-Patrick won the World Karting Association (WKA) Grand National championship, HPV class and Yamaha Lite class in 1997; and the previous year won the WKA Manufacturers Cup National Points title in Yamaha Junior and Restricted Junior Class.
