Alex “Tag” Tagliani will compete for the full season in 2010 under the startup team of FAZZT Racing. In 2009 Tagliani recorded three top-10 finishes in six races for Conquest Racing, and he earned Chase Rookie of the Year honors for an 11th-place finish at Indianapolis. Tag also competed at NASCAR Nationwide Series races in Montreal and Phoenix for MacDonald Motorsports. In the off-season, he competed in several international karting events.
In 2008, the driver made his IndyCar Series debut at Belle Isle for Conquest Racing, replacing the injured Enrique Bernoldi, he also competed in nine Canadian Tire NASCAR Series races with victory in Edmonton and two other top-10 finishes.
In 2007, Tagliani finished tenth in the Champ Car standings, eighth in 2006; with Team Australia, he finished seventh in 2005, 2004-seventh; top-ten in points standings for 2003 and 2003, and eleventh overall in 2001. In 2000, Tag entered his rookie season into CART, finishing 16th, before that, he had a five year stint in the Toyota Altantic Series. Proir to that, the Canadian had an extensive karting career, before entering the Esso Protec/BF Goodrich Formula 1600 series. He caught the racing bug at age 10 when his grandfather introduced him to karting while on a trip to Italy. He's been racing ever since.
Tag is a karting enthusiast who also enjoys swimming, cycling and inline skating for recreation and physical conditioning; also into video games He speaks fluent French, Italian and English.
